One of my favorite times of the year! Since my time growing up in Unalakleet, Alaska our family has gathered berries during the summer and fall months. Berries are abundant this year and I am very thankful to God! I recently purchased a chest freezer and with hard work it is filling up for winter! Starting in June one of the first berries to pop up are the Aqpiks or cloudberries. These are high in vitamin C. One cup has the nutritional value of 7 oranges! The blueberries and raspberries pop up next. Soon currants and cranberries will be ready as well. Enjoy some pictures of God’s beautiful creations:
