Alaskan Fiddleheads

It’s that time of year again when I feel so blessed to be able to gather the bounties of the earth 🌍 up here in Alaska is a super food that grows in the early spring. Jam packed with vital vitamins and nutrients these would be a great sustenance to add to your diet. I love to pickle the fiddleheads and my son enjoys them throughout the year. It’s important to blanch them before consumption to rid the natural toxins. I use a 50/50 mixture of apple cider vinegar and water, salt and pickling spices to taste. Bring to boil and jar accordingly. Enjoy! Bless and be blessed πŸ’•
